Growing up, I was always drawn to creating. Music was a huge part of my life—I played guitar, drums, and piano—and I think that’s where my creative side really began. But more than anything, I’ve always valued freedom, building relationships, and creating experiences that people remember.

When I was 23, I made a decision that surprised a lot of people. I packed up and moved to the U.S. Virgin Islands with no real long-term plan other than wanting to experience something different. I ended up staying for 14 years, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

While I was there, I worked for Marriott at Frenchman’s Reef Resort. It wasn’t just a job—it became an education in hospitality and customer service. Marriott invested heavily in training, and I had the privilege of working alongside Bill Marriott and learning from some of the best in the industry. Those experiences taught me that people may forget what you said or even what you did, but they’ll always remember how you made them feel.

Eventually, I returned home to New Jersey and combined that customer-first mindset with my passion for photography, founding Jason Giordano Photography & Video. What started as a one-person business has grown into an award-winning studio that has documented over a thousand weddings throughout New Jersey and beyond.

Today, my team and I specialize in wedding photography and videography with a candid, photojournalistic approach. We believe your wedding day should be lived—not spent posing for the camera. Our job is to capture the genuine moments: the laughter, the happy tears, the quiet glances, and the celebrations that make your story uniquely yours. Of course we’ll create beautiful portraits, but we never want photography to take you away from the people who matter most.

If there’s one thing we’re known for, I hope it’s our service. Great photographs are important, but they’re only part of the experience. From the first conversation through the final delivery, we strive to make every couple feel comfortable, informed, and genuinely cared for. We help with timelines, solve problems before they become problems, and work behind the scenes so our couples can simply enjoy one of the most important days of their lives.

Over the years, we’ve been honored to earn the trust of hundreds of couples and their families. Many of our weddings come through referrals, and to me, that’s the greatest compliment any business can receive. It tells me we’re creating an experience worth sharing.

Like most entrepreneurs, the journey hasn’t always been easy. Running a successful business requires far more than being good at your craft. I’ve had to learn marketing, sales, leadership, finance, technology, and constantly adapt to an industry that’s always evolving. Rather than resisting change, I’ve learned to embrace it.

That curiosity has recently led me into the world of artificial intelligence and software development. I’m currently building technology designed specifically for wedding professionals, helping automate the administrative side of their businesses so they can spend more time doing what they love—serving their clients. I don’t believe technology should replace the human touch. I believe it should give us more opportunities to connect with people.

Outside of work, I’m a lifelong learner. I enjoy diving into new ideas, whether that’s business, photography, AI, automotive projects, or simply understanding how things work. Some of the best lessons I’ve learned have come from books, conversations with successful entrepreneurs, and countless hours of research. I believe growth comes from staying curious and never assuming you’ve learned everything.

Looking back, my career hasn’t followed a straight line, and I’m grateful for that. Every chapter—from moving to the Caribbean, to learning hospitality through Marriott, to building a wedding photography business, and now exploring the future of AI—has reinforced the same lesson:

Success isn’t about cameras, software, or technology. It’s about people.
